Axalta has released a new matt clear system that comprises two products, Standocryl 2K System Clear Super Matt K9150 (Cromax CC6020) and Standocryl 2K System Clear Satin Gloss K9140 (Cromax CC6010). With state-of-the-art pigment size, these matt clears provide professional results the first time, every time. The intermixable 2K System Clear Super Matt K9150 (Cromax CC6020) and 2K System Clear Satin Gloss K9140 (Cromax CC6010) are best-in-class, allowing refinishers to match the widest range of OEM production finish gloss levels from matt to semi-matt. According to Jim Iliopoulos, Axalta's Product and Technical Manager for Australia, the new matt clear system delivers high-quality inspiration as many OEM finishes are inspired by nature's matt finishes. Refinishers can quickly identify matt colours on the Acquire spectrophotometer and find the correct matt colour match formula using the Standox advanced digital colour management software, Standowin iQ. The two new clears offer improved colour and effect pigment clarity, providing excellent homogenous and uniform finishes. They also provide a robust application for repairs and ease painters' workloads. The Standocryl 2K System Clear Super Matt K9150 (Cromax CC6020) and Standocryl 2K System Clear Satin Gloss K9140 (Cromax CC6010)
are available from March 2023 from your local Standox distributor. Axalta claims that refinishers who use this system will benefit from reliable results and up to 35% reduction in drying times compared to existing systems, helping with energy savings.
